- You have established leadership in public policy along with extensive experience working in or with federal, state or city government (Executive, Legislative or Agency). You have a proven track record in building coalitions to move an education agenda and be knowledgeable about influencing state, local and federal education funding. Requires a sophisticated knowledge of the legislative and budget process, a robust network of contacts, and intuitive understanding of how to work with a diverse network of stakeholders in support of Apple's strategic priorities. Lobbying experience or background is strongly preferred. You are a self-starter with excellent time management, possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and be able to convert complex challenges into practical solutions. The ideal candidate will be a current Mac user or individual with strong technology fluency. Position requires a demonstrated ability to think creatively, work independently when required, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
This position is located in Atlanta (Georgia). You will develop and implement a successful strategy for crafting education technology initiatives in K-20 accounts. You will drive awareness among budget and policy partners in support of digital learning environments, and create / use funding streams for learning tools to benefit students and administrators. You will provide leadership, vision and coordination to dramatically advance Apple's education mission by: 1.Building strategic relationships within the executive and legislative branches of the state and local governments, state and regional organizations, higher education institutions, key customers, and advocates in the education and business community. 2.Evangelizing Apple's education vision to high-level decision makers and creating a sense of urgency among elected officials, policymakers, K-12 districts, colleges and universities in support of digital learning environments. 3.Crafting new funded education technology pilots or large-scale initiatives; modifying existing funded technology initiatives in ways that help drive Hi-Ed sales; reallocating dollars from other budget areas to make education technology a priority; and removing legislative and regulatory barriers that impede the ability of Apple to successfully conduct business. Organizing and participating in forums and events (e.g. executive briefings, seminars) for the political leadership and key partners with a focus on education policy and funding streams that impact higher education. Providing information and consultation to Apple management and the field sales force about technology funding opportunities, research, and public policies.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
