Apple TV has redefined how we interact with our TVs. Powered by tvOS and built on the same foundations as iOS, the OS is evolving continually by building technologies for the living room experience. We are looking for a passionate engineer to join the team. In this role, you will contribute to tvOS' first-class customer experience and enable a great platform for application developers. The role gives you the opportunity to collaborate with a wide variety of teams at Apple such as SpringBoard, UIKit, AVKit and CoreAnimation and grow with the rest of Apple's software ecosystem.

Key Qualifications

  • 2+years experience in commercial grade software development or equivalent
  • Ability to write clear and high-performance code in Objective-C or Swift
  • Ability to analyze large features and implement practical solutions
  • Passion for quality and close attention to details
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules
  • Aptitude to independently learn new technologies


The tvOS team is responsible for the underlying system that powers the Apple TV experience. If you're passionate about writing code and working with a world-class engineering team, come and work with us. As a self-directed iOS Engineer who is prepared to take on complex problems and drive full-product solutions, the position requires a focus on high quality and performant code (both UI and infrastructure) to allow applications to shine. You will be thinking extensively about how your code impacts multiple processes on the system. While systems programming experience is helpful, it is not a prerequisite for this role. The team allows for growth and development and will mentor a hardworking engineer who enjoys working on different parts of the software stack.

Education & Experience

BS/MS EE/CS/CE or equivalent work experience

Additional Requirements

  • Significant experience in one or more of the following highly preferred:
  • Object Oriented design and development experience
  • iOS, tvOS or macOS development experience
  • Familiarity with debugging and performance testing
