  • Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the deployment, operation, and decommission of IT infrastructure in production facilities such as production offices and writer's rooms
  • Maintain business relationships with studio and production personnel to ensure IT needs for content production are understood and met
  • Maintain responsibility for the inventory, configuration, deployment, support, and retrieval of end-user devices (e.g. laptops, iPads, iPhones) used by productions
  • Ensure production facility Wi-Fi, ethernet, internet, and connectivity with 3rd-parties (e.g. post-production facilities) is balanced and efficiently supports the needs of productions
  • Run local SAN/NAS infrastructure for productions to support content workflows
  • Define and operate an IT support model that scales based on the size and complexity of productions and includes common software products (e.g. Aspera, Scenechronize, Movie Magic, Shotgun, Avid)
  • Ensure production personnel are accurately trained on IT policies, tools, and processes
  • Partner with physical security and digital content protection to ensure compliance with security policies
  • Support secure content transport to/from local storage, dailies systems, Avid stations, post-production facilities, etc.
  • Evaluate complex challenges against a variety of factors and design short and long term strategies
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of trends and standard methodologies within Apple


Description

The Apple TV+ IS&T team is responsible for the technology strategy, delivery, and operation of IT systems used to enable Apple's Video Original Content line of business. The team ensures technology and business strategy remain tightly aligned through multi-functional partnership, knowledge of industry trends, and familiarity with the Apple corporate systems landscape. Members work closely with leadership, business partners, software engineers, vendors, information security, and others to deliver systems (people, process, and technology) that meet the demands of a fast-growing organization. The Production Technology Operations Manager leads all aspects of the deployment, support, and decommission of technology utilized during the production of Apple TV+ content. It is responsible for collaborating with business partners to understand the technology needs of productions and ensuring solutions are in place and accurately supported. This role interacts with studio and production personnel regularly, requiring strong soft skills and an ability to communicate efficiently with diverse personality styles. A blend of business and technical acumen, particularly with production and post-production processes, coupled with project management discipline are critical for success.

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred

Additional Requirements

  • PMP or other project management certification a plus
  • 10+ years related experience
