Key Qualifications

  • Self-starter with 4+ years experience as a member of a technical team within a software development and/or internet services environment.
  • Ability to synthesize complex problems and concepts and communicate out across various levels of the organization, including executive level
  • Willing to dig into the details and understand the customer impact of different APIs, error codes, and product verticals
  • Flexibility and resourcefulness as priorities change due to the unpredictable nature of production incidents.
  • Motivated to solve problems with urgency while maintaining a level head.

Description

In this exciting role, you will design and implement a production readiness plan for new upcoming feature launches for Apple's Wallet and Payments services. You will partner with engineering teams to develop technical requirements and address critical needs. Working cross-functionally with other project managers and engineers, you will drive the reliability of new products and services. You will facilitate requirements discussion on KPIs, monitoring & alerting, and dashboard needs for new features of Apple Pay and implement a project plan to achieve production readiness. You will also work closely with external partners to ensure they meet Apple's requirements on high availability, disaster recovery, application level monitoring, and production support prioritization and escalation. By developing a broad perspective across Apple Pay, you will identify new processes to champion and strategize how to pull in required teams to address obstacles. Over time, you will build and maintain a portfolio of technical projects in a welcoming, team-based environment that values individual contribution. - Be the communicator! Everyone on the project knows what is going on. You are comfortable speaking to groups and can clearly and effectively present one-pagers, POCs, and architectural overviews. - Show ownership and accountability tracking internal and external deliverables alike, while handling roadblocks to ensure deliverables arrive on time - Break down projects and responsibilities rationally while paying close attention to detail to apply the right process for the given requirements and team - Drive meetings to establish and document the scope of the project. Have an informed perspective on what should be included/excluded by partnering with site reliability engineers - Build relationships with external partners to influence their systems' reliability, application monitoring, and production support model - Plan, maintain and document various project aspects such as schedule, risks, dependencies, achievements, etc.

Education & Experience
