Apple's Exploratory Design group is seeking a hardworking Electrical Engineer to join a team of highly innovative scientists and engineers to design, validate and implement novel technologies. You must be self-driven and self- sufficient in laboratory environments. You must have both analog and digital circuit design expertise and be able to realize and validate those designs on a PCB. It is highly desirable that you can create the software stack to execute experiments with said PCB and analyze any measurement results.

Key Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications:
  • FPGA Digital Logic Design
  • Board level circuit design
  • Schematic capture
  • Board level lab bringup
  • Lab equipment use and automation
  • Having experience with one or more of the follow is a bonus:
  • Model building and performance evaluation
  • Simulation tools such as HSPICE or Cadence Spectre
  • Analog measurement techniques
  • Scripting language - Python
  • Signal processing - Fourier transforms, sampling theory
  • Statistics - multiple probability distributions
  • Mathematica, MatLab
  • Self-directed investigations
  • Debug, math and analytical skills


Description

The responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to: - Implementing and evaluating hardware systems and mixed signal processing designs through lab testing and/or simulations - Designing and implementing test plans to ensure systems meet requirements - Understand limitations of systems/technologies and how they can be overcome - Conceptualize and implement demos for use cases of novel technologies

Education & Experience

MS Minimum EE/CE with 8+ years industry experience or equivalent.
