Key Qualifications

  • You have engineering management experience (both technical and people) 3+ years
  • You have display engineering background (panel process/design/test & calibration)
  • You're motivated with the dream and ability to become an integral part of Apple's hardworking, highly creative and dynamic engineering team
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • You are experienced with optical instrument design
  • You get excited about color management and other display Front-Of-Screen performance evaluation
  • The position requires some international travel (up to 15%)


- Develop a team responsible for defining elite calibration and test processes, and equipment manufacturers build to Apple requirements - Drive display process development and capability assessment activities, reviewing design documentation to ensure alignment with process capability - Set clear goals for results and provide timely reviews of performance throughout the program - Coordinate with engineering teams across the organization, operations, vendors and contract manufacturers to enable engineering execution - Identify, research, develop, and qualify premier equipment manufacturers and suppliers - Guide, mentor, and assist in the career development of front-line engineers - Requires up to 15% international travel to support equipment design, deployment, and validation

Education & Experience

- PhD with 10+ years of industry experience in Optics, Physics, or Electrical Engineering
