As a member of a cross-disciplinary team developing our next generation displays, you'll be generating detailed electrical specifications, test cases and architectural recommendations for our custom display silicon. You'll take the lead in defining the strategy and approach to this through the use of system simulation/modeling and lab prototype/experiments/analysis. You'll then be responsible for the verification and support of this custom silicon solution as its integrated into the display, system and brought to mass production.

Key Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in architecture, system modeling, board level design/prototyping, applications engineering or similar
  • Programming (python, matlab or similar)
  • Significant hands-on lab experience in measurement, automation and debug
  • Simulation and behavioral modeling (spectre or similar)
  • Inquisitive, analytical, collaborative and highly self-driven
  • Strong communications and presentation skills

Description

Contribute to the development of advanced displays from early stage definition to mass production including: Define, develop and execute board-level experiments with early display prototypes Develop display electrical-optical system models and simulations Create system test cases for display power subsystem Analyze and generate silicon specifications Execute bench level silicon verification of complex custom features Support custom silicon bring-up and debug at the display module and system level Factory debug consultation/support Presentation of findings and analysis to cross-functional engineering team

Education & Experience

MSEE or Ph.D.

Additional Requirements

  • Experience defining and/or verifying custom silicon IC's is a plus
  • Experience with power converter modeling and simulation is a plus
  • Experience with drive electronics for displays is a plus
  • Experience bringing complex systems to production is a plus

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,000 and $269,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
