We are seeking a Configuration and Automation Engineer to help shape and scale the internal tooling that enables the review of millions of app submissions every year.

In this role, you'll work at the intersection of systems analysis, automation, and data intelligence - enabling our support specialists to work more efficiently and effectively.

You will own the configuration of our internal tools and developing automation. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, understands how large-scale systems operate, and is eager to work closely with both technical and operational teams.","responsibilities":"Configuring and customizing internal tools to support multiple app review workflows.

Developing assistive tools for decisioning systems, ensuring outcomes are accurate, explainable, and scalable.

Driving functional requirements to improve event-driven compute solutions (e.g., FaaS) used to generate actions and insights based on real-time signals and telemetry.

Collaborating with support operations teams to understand workflows, identify bottlenecks, and surface data needs.

Debugging and inspecting apps, including signals such as network traffic and binary analysis output, to identify new opportunities for automation.

Querying and processing large-scale datasets using platforms like Trino and HDFS.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Apple's SDK and an understanding of how apps work, including the ability to interpret binary analysis output, control flow graphs, network traffic, etc.

Hands-on experience with event-driven compute or function-as-a-service (FaaS) platforms.

Experience querying and analyzing large datasets using tools like Trino, HDFS, or similar big data technologies.

Proficiency in Python, particularly for data analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of professional experience.

JavaScript proficiency for use as a scripting language in backend or automation systems to process data, evaluate logic, or respond to events. Note, this is not a front-end web development role.

Experience with client-server architectures and tools that dynamically generate or configure user interfaces.

Background in supporting high-volume operations such as support desks, customer service platforms, or call centers.
