CAD Engineer- Front End Implementation

As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you'll help design and validate our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient system-on-chip (SoC) designs. You'll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. Joining this group means you'll be responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple's devices. In this exciting role on our team, you will develop, maintain, and enhance logic equivalence checking flows. You will support the software and scripts that design teams are using to verify implementation flows and complete ECOs and will get to explore the possibility of applying machine learning techniques to improve logic equivalence tools and flows. You will work directly with EDA vendors to address tool issues, and you will own issue closure on projects.
- Entry level or 1+ yrs of relevant experience
- Understanding of frontend implementation tasks: synthesis and logic equivalence checking
- Expertise with logic equivalence tools (Formality, Conformal, etc) is a bonus
- Previous scripting experience (TCL, Perl or Python preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
We are looking for someone to join our team who will be: - Developing, maintaining, and improving CAD applications for logical equivalence flows - Directly supporting multiple frontend and physical design teams - Triaging and solving CAD flow problems, and working around 3rdparty EDA tool problems - Driving bug fixes and improvements to EDA tools - Collaborating with other CAD engineers to integrate your solutions into their flows.
Education & Experience
MS/BS Degree in technical discipline
