Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years in app development (Swift, SwiftUI, Objective C or C++)
  • In-depth knowledge of common data structures, computational complexity, performance profiling and optimization
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a highly collaborative work environment
  • Experience in crafting robust and scalable API
  • Experience in leading large multi-functional efforts
  • Experience with declarative programming in SwiftUI, preferred
  • Experience with test-driven development, including use of XCTest, preferred

Description

As a Client UI Engineer you will be building the platform for Siri and Spotlight Search UI experiences. In this role, you will design, develop and deliver software and API that is used by many AIML teams. You will work closely and iteratively with the Apple Design team. You will gather feature requirements, craft documentation, seek API feedback, offer guidance on API usage and help in debugging sessions. Collaborating closely within our team, you will provide peer feedback on code reviews, participate in paired-programming, and live on our code for testing. You will work with Swift and SwiftUI to build cross-platform frameworks for authoring and rendering UI. Our code is required to be highly testable, performant and private. Education & Experience

B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction or equivalent work experience.

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $144,500 and $250,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
