About the job:
Open Business Infrastructure (OBI) offers a billing, subscription management and monetization engine for AOL, Yahoo, Verizon and its affiliates by providing generic capabilities for billing, subscription management, partner integrations, payouts to the publishers. The platform provides revenue reporting capabilities, service management tools, dashboards, product catalog, order management systems. The platform is being leveraged by a variety of products across AOL, Yahoo and Verizon family. As a Sales Engineer, your efforts on the team will make a direct impact on expanding the use of this platform outside the Verizon family.
Support the sales team in helping customers understand what is possible with our billing and subscription management platform
Understand business requirements and communicate the value of solving technology problems using our platforms
Develop technical documents, proposals (RFP, RFI, etc.), product demos and presentation decks
Conduct product presentations to senior engineering and business stakeholders
Work with engineers to provide technical solutions to our customers
Have a savvy to notice the industry pattern and propose engineering enhancements that will make the platform better
Help setup and refine the sales and customer engagement processes
Help establish Proof Of Concept
Travel to customer sites, and industry conferences and events (about 10-20% Travel)
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of experience in sales support or post-sales customer-facing role
Experience working with API (JSON over HTTPS, REST)
Ability to establish a proof of concept after understanding the customer requirements
Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience with DevOPS tools like Docker, Jenkins is a solid plus
Domain knowledge in Billing, subscription management, E-commerce, Payments is a solid plus
Experience presenting and delivering technical pitches
