Job Description

MSFT Sr. Sales Strategy role is a senior level position, reporting to the GM of Global MSFT Sales with dotted line accountability into the CA sales leadership team. This individual has to implement and execute sales strategy related to the Microsoft Display Partnership at Oath in the Canadian market; a mature business with responsibility in managed and programmatic sales for Xbox, MSN, Outlook, Windows, and Skype.

This role will have a strategic alignment with the Sales, AM, Specialist, Client and marketing teams in order to proactively unlock revenue in order to grow revenues and market share. Furthermore, the successful applicant will be jointly responsible for the business processes that ensure professionalism, collaboration, and prioritization in the sales force to maximize profitability & ROI.

This role is client-facing at all levels of clients and agencies and will play an active role in the RFP process. This individual will also be responsible for delivering and localizing MSFT corp strategy through localization efforts, collateral builds, presenting, and training/development in the CA market.

The MSFT Sr. Strategy Lead will focus on developing & executing against agreed sales strategies and revenue targets to ensure market share growth in display & performance advertising. They are also responsible for strong communication internally to the Sales, AMs, Client, Specialist and Marketing teams to help drive all products to market. The key deliverables are profitable revenue, customer satisfaction/retention & efficient business process execution.

  • Maximizing revenues from the audience & product assets as well as advising on/setting appropriate budget/targets.

  • Empower and support sellers to develop and grow revenue share of all vertical areas across MSFT

  • Developing clear GTM plans developed from the wider sales strategy input and ensuring efficient execution at the country level.

  • Ensuring compliance with pricing & policy guidelines based on market intelligence & competitor positioning (partnership with Yield)

  • Driving and establishing contacts with our strategic clients across all vertical sectors

  • Delivering quota against the agency group, country and individual MBO’s set by the business

  • Working with Product and Marketing teams to ensure great cross-team collaboration and clear GTM strategy

  • Developing people to grow specialist sales force skills & competencies & to ensure readiness for future business directions.

  • Creating sales structures that maximize customer service, revenue generation, & employee satisfaction as well as retaining and attracting new talent to our company.

  • Working with LT and sales-support counterparts to drive growth for the CA

  • Strategic seller, but capable of covering the ground

  • Deliver back to the business constant feedback and analysis related to VOF from CA market

  • Training + Development

  • First POC for MSFT Escalations

  • Supports RFPs and Client Meetings as needed - focuses on training + empowering the field for all things MSFT



  • Proven knowledge, experience & communication abilities

  • Credibility and market leading relationships with senior executive decision makers in both the existing & emerging customer base

  • A strong track record in exceeding aggressive budgets

  • Generating customer & employee satisfaction

  • Experience selling both custom, managed solutions as well as programmatic selling
