Verizon Digital Media Services (VDMS) is seeking a Director of Finance Solutions to partner with our sales and solutions engineering teams, and with Verizon and AOL, to drive sales within the financial services industry.
Be at the top of the sales funnel: The overlay team should be helping to drive activity within a specific vertical. The overlay rep should be in regular meetings with VES, ITS, AOL, etc. counterparts in order to further our agenda around campaigns, attend EBCs, and be the VDMS point of contact for that particular vertical. While sales leadership should still be involved in these types of discussions we now have people dedicated to these specific tasks. The right opportunities are then presented to other sales teams for participation.
Help drive revenue for that specific vertical: The overlay rep should be a technical expert on solutions specific to that vertical and be brought in and presented as the expert to customers in specific sales situations. Being involved in customer meetings allows overlay reps to properly present our story, Share reference customers, leverage partners and more. This allows the assigned rep and SE to focus on additional tactical efforts with each customer.
Be an industry expert: The overlay rep should have a large view over our product roadmap, be able to do speaking engagements and understand what other customers in that vertical leverage on VDMS. This has to be someone who can own a room and deliver our message.
- This person should be somewhere around 70% technical and 30% sales oriented. We want the overlays to be able to go deep on specific topics, but also understand how to navigate a sales process, be an internal advocate for deals and work closely with our available channels.
10+ years as Solution Architect/Sr Solution Engineer in specific vertical with preference for selling Enterprise software, SAAS, and/or cloud technologies (preferably CDN/Cloud technologies).
C-level contacts within a vertical industry - should be able to immediately open conversations with 5+ CIO/CTO contacts in target vertical based on prior relationships
Managed 7-figure "new business" quota successfully.
