ROLE SUMMARY

The SQC Manager will coordinate the certification of new processes, equipment and materials, line trials, develop and execute any designs of experiments (DOX) and all associated statistical analyses. This role will direct plant use of statistical process control methods and will be a Technical resource to address customer and supplier quality issues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage to Improve owner for plant
  • SQC to be a plant data analysis resource and process improvement team leader (PDCA, ITF), just like QMs are plant based.
  • Every Plant will have SQC led PDCA focused on Red KPI
  • Ensure quality systems and procedures are in place
  • Conduct employee training on quality and statistical tools
  • Owner of gauging, gauging maintenance, MMSP, and data systems remain core responsibility
  • Measurement Systems Analysis owner (Gauge R&R, calibration)
  • Highlight when process capability results for critical characteristics are below targets and identify opportunities for improvement.


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Statistics, Math or Engineering preferred)
  • 3-5 years' experience in the application of statistical methods in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in facilitating cross-functional teams
  • Change agent with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Willingness to relocate
