Bio Treatment System Overtime Relief Technician

Syracuse, NY
  • Operate, monitor and maintain all wastewater treatment processes and equipment in a manner to ensure compliance with state and federal environmental permit limits.
    - Sample collection, analysis and interpretation of the results.
    - Perform basic maintenance and repair to all equipment and instrumentation.
    - Operation of bio solids dewatering equipment.
    - Housekeeping and cleaning of all equipment, structures and facilities.



    Job Qualifications
    - Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science preferred (i.e., chemistry, biology or environmental).
    - Experience with the operation and maintenance of industrial or municipal wastewater or water treatment plants.
    - Work independently with minimal supervision.

- Strong problem solving, analytical and "hands-on" skills.
- Excellent multi-tasking, organization, prioritization, planning and communication skills.
- Ability to extract, evaluate and utilize data for process improvement from all applicable resources.
- Must be flexible, and open to changing environment and evolving job responsibilities.
- Requires some proficiency with Microsoft Windows PC applications.
- Must be free to work weekends and holidays any shift during the entire year.
