Vice President, Marketing

The Vice President, Marketing will oversee all aspects of corporate and product marketing for the company , which includes leading market strategy and execution with respect to corporate brand; product positioning; product marketing; and marketing communications across a range of channels.

Responsibilities of the VP, Marketing:

  • Manage all aspects of marketing planning, budgeting, metrics and reporting
  • Develop Marketing business plans, strategic initiatives and communication programs that drive business results, and ensure the team is an indispensable internal business partner to all key constituents
  • Design Amplify's corporate Marketing strategy and provide ongoing management of the Amplify brand
  • Create and deliver targeted marketing communications for customers and partners, including informational materials as well as advertising and promotional materials
  • Determine the appropriate marketing mix for communications across inbound and outbound channels including key trade channels and partnerships, digital marketing, SEM, social media, lead generation, content marketing, and event marketing/tradeshows
  • Design and produce compelling marketing and sales collateral
  • Strategize and implement PR outreach in key commercial markets
  • Manage and execute large-scale PR events and campaigns
  • Work closely with the Sales teams to manage customer channel and partner strategies and develop go to market plans to drive revenue
  • Collaborate with the Product and Sales teams to identify key product differentiators and functionality selling points, target potential product improvements, and devise innovative strategies including segmentation, messaging, positioning, pricing, sales enablement, and launch plans
  • Manage in-bound PR inquiries for division
  • Utilize critical market research to segment and define target markets, and refine and improve marketing and sales plans

Basic Qualifications of the VP, Marketing:

  • BA/BS degree, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing with at least 3 years at the executive level
  • 5+ years of experience leading marketing in a B2B context
  • 5+ years of experience, and proven success, developing integrated marketing campaigns based on data and tested, analyzed, and optimized to maximize response and conversion
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus among disparate stakeholders while providing guidance and leadership
  • Proven excellence managing, motivating, and developing mid-level staff

Preferred Qualifications of the VP, Marketing:

  • 2+ years in K-12 education preferred but not strictly required
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Experience marketing to public sector buyers
  • Extremely strong strategic planning and resource allocation skills
