The Inventory Specialists have a number of responsibilities - many of which require frequent monitoring and evaluation. As detailed in the following job description, the obligations of an Inventory Specialist focus heavily on specific inventory duties and some associated administrative work.

An Inventory Specialist for Amplify Science is tasked with monitoring Science kit inventory at the Westchester warehouse facility. The Inventory Specialist will work with the Operations Manager to receive and record Science presenter kits as they comes in and move stock onto shipping trucks or shelves as needed. The Inventory Specialist will replenish both kits and inventory as needed. This is a vital role that ensures there are no shortages on shelves and no Amplify Science presenter without resources.

Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Organizing science inventory for Amplify Science presenter kits for Specialists delivering onsite workshops
  • Managing log of shipped materials and resources , to and from various school sites
  • Reviewing upcoming events and building presenter kits based on set presenter kit content
  • Anticipating inventory refurbishment needs and escalating these needs to the Operations Manager
  • Lift up to 50 pounds (kits and inventory)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft such as Excel and Windows
  • Strong organizational skills
