The Role:

As a Senior Accountant, you will assist in many aspects of Amperity's accounting operations. This role will join the revenue operations team and will primarily focus on the order to cash processes including the creation of sales orders, pricing of contracts, preparation of order forms, collaboration with the client services team, managing the billing and collections processes, and customer contract analysis / management. You will help to ensure proper revenue recognition under ASC 606, assist with month-end procedures, help manage incentive compensation, and assist with financial statement preparation and ad-hoc analyses/projects.

The ideal candidate possesses solid operational and technical accounting skills and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment. Timeliness, accuracy, and the ability to prioritize multiple processes and meet critical deadlines are essential. You will report to our Revenue Operations Manager.

Interesting Problems:

  • Manage the billing and collections processes
  • Customer contract analysis and management
  • Help ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Collaborate with services team to ensure accurate revenue recognition
  • Create and manage sales orders
  • Assist with incentive compensation
  • Assist AE's in pricing contracts
  • Implement systems and workflows to improve order to cash process
  • Post monthly journal entries and help with the preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Assist with preparation of budget vs. actual variance analysis and monthly reporting package
  • Assist with selection, implementation and ongoing maintenance of tools and processes to automate and scale back-office functions

About You:

  • Minimum 2 - 3 years experience (SaaS or Public Accounting experience preferred but not required)
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • You are excited by opportunities that push you to learn and grow professionally
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, organized and ability to prioritize
  • You are task oriented and enjoy being given a variety of projects
  • Problem solving and critical thinking are strengths
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with team members to make the office environment positive for all
  • Open minded, inclusive, and motivated to make good decisions
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Google Docs and the ability to learn new tools/programs
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred but not required

Compensation

Base Salary: $84,000 -$126,000. This range reflects the good-faith hiring base salary range for this position. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.

Other Cash Incentives: For many of our positions, other cash incentives are also available.
