As part of Next Generation Database Management team, you will work on:

  • Designing and deploying highly scalable data platforms using Open Core RDBMS and NoSQL solutions (PostgreSQL/Cassandra/Couchbase) to support Mission Critical Applications.
  • Designing and deploying highly scalable data platforms using Open Core RDBMS and NoSQL solutions (PostgreSqL, Cassandra/Couchbase) to support Missing Cr
  • Engineer Data solutions to support large data processing (TB's/ PB's) across Enterprise in on-prem and multi cloud strategy in public cloud (AWS / Azure and GCP) platforms
  • Play an integral role in building and enhancing the data infrastructure using distributed database solutions required to support the business portfolio while providing consultation to internal business partners, customers and vendors in assessing data management needs.
  • Create enterprise data services API's that can support high scale ingestion frameworks.
  • Provide Platform blueprints using next generation data management tools and technical solutions to support Mission Critical Platforms.
  • Communicate the value of distributed databases based solutions and recommendations to non-technical audiences including senior management.
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
  • Automate all the things - builds, infrastructure and deployments.
  • Drive standardization to reduce costs and improve efficiencies. Provide level 2 support for core data platform disruptions

Depending on role and business needs, colleagues will either work onsite, in a hybrid model (combination of in-office and virtual days) or fully virtually.

If the role you are applying for is designated as hybrid or onsite, you will be required to demonstrate that you have completed your primary COVID-19 vaccination series (i.e., 2 doses for Moderna/Pfizer and 1 dose for J&J) and, for medically eligible colleagues, a booster shot, in order to work in or visit any of our offices. This requirement is subject to legally required accommodations.

Booster eligibility: The CDC has established guidelines for when adults are eligible to receive booster shots depending on when they completed their initial vaccine series (currently five months after the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines, and two months after the J&J Vaccine). If you have completed your primary vaccine series but have not yet reached your booster eligibility date, you will be able to come into the office; however, you will need to complete your booster within 30 days of becoming eligible to continue coming in and participating in company-sponsored in-person events.

  • At least 10+ years of strong engineering experience in building Distributed systems.
  • Preferably a BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL or Apache Cassandra or Couchbase
  • Good knowledge of data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Java / Python or Go preferred
  • Experience designing and implementing multi-region and multi AZ replicated data stores
  • Experience with continuous delivery using Git, Jenkins, Liquibase, jMeter, Terraform etc
  • Expertise in hardware systems architecture, storage solutions, and disaster recovery
  • Experience with Public cloud database technologies (AWS / Azure or GCP) and implementing multi-cloud database strategy
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMs, Kubernetes, Containers ..)
  • Linux Master Skills
  • Experience and knowledge in networking architecture and security
  • Ability to work with team members in multiple geographic locations and time zones.
  • High levels of energy, engagement, and ownership. Positive attitude is an absolute must.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal On-call support experience
