Within Global Services Group (GSG), the Servicing Strategy & Transformation (SS&T) team is responsible for devising and implementing long-term, cross-business unit strategies that deliver on our key goals of improving operational efficiency and driving revenue for American Express. The part of SS&T the successful candidate will part of focuses specifically on leading high impact transformational initiatives to enhance the experience, efficiency, and effectiveness that support the GSG servicing teams and functions. This role specifically will support the GSP pipeline lab which is a team that partners with capabilities, tech, and other stakeholders to deliver GSP changes as a result of SS&T priorities.

Primary Responsibilities of this Project Analyst role includes:
  • Drive implementation of large-scale projects that improve the experience, efficiency, and effectiveness of GSG functions through GSP changes
  • Partner with multiple teams including Operations, Capabilities, and Technologies, among others to develop collaborative approaches while jointly prioritizing and addressing key business opportunities
  • Oversee multiple concurrent initiatives and lead the implementation in production
  • Will be responsible for working with partners in defining product features, user stories and articulating use cases for SS&T priorities following SAFe/Agile methodology
  • Manage the feature releases, testing and partner on the launch plan for Specialists/CCPs
  • Obtain feedback on the product to iterate and drive improvements in future releases
  • Prioritize user stories and features build for the scrum team
Qualifications:
  • Experience in Project Management, Business Management, or similar background is required
  • Understanding of American Express tech and product development processes, known as a business person who can speak both tech and business languages
  • Creative thinking, including the ability to identify patterns and propose solutions to long-standing business problems, and ability to act as a catalyst for change.
  • Must be an outstanding analytical thinker and problem solver, comfortable working with data and able to resolve complex problems independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills combined with an ability to interact effectively with senior leaders and business partners
  • Proven ability to quickly adjust to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity and rapid change
  • Proven track record of successfully operating in a highly matrix environment and being able to lead and influence without direct authority
  • Strong working knowledge of internal Global Services Group processes and it's functional areas,
  • Bachelor's Degree or 2 years of work experience
  • Minimum Experience Requirement: 6+ months of experience
Preferred Additional:
  • Project management, Six Sigma Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Science, similar degree
  • SAFe for Teams experience or POPM certification
