Sr. Technical Program Manager
- The Amazon Device Services organization is hiring a Technical Program Manager to help us build cross-platform software to enable seamless connectivity & out of box setup experiences for devices. This is an opportunity to influence one of the most important customer experiences across all Amazon devices, such as Kindle, Fire TV, Fire Tablets, Amazon Echo, and Amazon Dash. Additionally, you will lead efforts to bring these technologies more broadly to IoT devices across our ecosystem. The role will require you to manage the development of software on a variety of different technology stacks from backend web services to mobile app development to embedded IoT platforms.
This role will help drive major initiatives within the team and streamline our operations. This is an opportunity to join the program in the early stages and have a big impact. As a technical program manager you will be one of the key leaders on the team and have an impact on defining strategy & requirements, developing processes & schedules, and driving progress on major initiatives. This will also involve regular communication with program stakeholders and executives.
10+ years of software development industry experience, with at least 5 years in a technical program management role
Experience defining processes, project management, and release schedules
Excellent problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels across the business
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline
- Prior experience in a technical software engineering role
- Experience using multiple software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, waterfall, etc)
- Experience with wireless networking technologies
