Position Title: Software Development Engineer III
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Position Responsibilities:
Engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff of hardware, operations, user-space, and quality assurance teams to conceive and design innovative consumer products. Ensure the delivery and maintenance of a high-performance, low-power, stable platform for the Linux Kernel team. Implement high-quality drivers. Collaborate with teams to improve and tailor existing drivers to our needs. Implement power management features and improve memory footprint of drivers. Optimize driver codes. Work with the hardware team to ensure correct exercising of hardware and with the user-space teams to ensure an adequate level of functionality and reporting.


Basic Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and one year of experience. One year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation must involve: providing technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle; writing Linux Kernel (.drivers or core) code; and technical experience with USB, HDMI, Smart TV, audio, framebuffer, filesystems, system performance, or wireless devices.
