Amazon Video Catalog (AVC) Group is looking for highly motivated web developers to join the Catalog Orchestration team to create new generation of user experience for our content operators worldwide. AVC Orchestration team also create web platforms that allows other AVC teams quickly develop tooling and web interfaces for their customers. We're looking for someone with unparalleled knowledge in current web development technologies who can thrive in an agile environment. You will work very closely with engineers, designers and product managers from conception through delivery on a world class application.

A successful candidate should not only should have a solid background in the fundamentals of software development, but also loves to use the best of breed technologies and techniques.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of software product development experience
  • Deep understanding of the MVC design pattern
  • Design and development of mobile-first web applications that work across a large array of browsers and devices.
  • Proven record of designing, developing, and operating software.
  • Skilled in developing mobile first web applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Understanding and usage of RESTful services

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to advocate for customers and the integrity of their experience
  • Experience recognizing and utilizing user interface design patterns to solve business problems
