Description

The Amazon Selection Management Experience team is hiring an experienced Web Development Engineer to work on the all new front-end applications that is responsible for delivering best UX to help Amazon business.

As a Web Development Engineer on the Selection Management Platform, you'll be expected to have a strong web development skill set and a passion for building robust software. In building applications, you will need to account for the scale of Amazon while maintaining a high-quality user experience. Our front-end application evolves quickly as part of the Selection Management/Processing eco system to support the ever-expanding business of Amazon. The successful candidate will have the opportunities to work with new use cases, build new features, help define the future web application platform architecture for performance, maintenance and scaling. We offer our web developers the opportunity to work full stack if they feel comfortable doing so.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years professional experience in software development
  • Proficiency in web application technology such as java script, HTML5, CSS, etc.
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong web application design skills, including information architecture, interface design, reusable component architecture and visual design
  • Proficient in React or Backbone is a plus
  • Experience in launching applications globally, internationalization techniques for the web
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge in, at least, one modern programming language such as Java, or C#/C++
