UX Design Lead- Investigation Tools

DESCRIPTION

Amazon's Selling Partner Abuse team seeks a talented, passionate User Experience Designer to join our team. We're looking for a highly motivated person with proven user interface and visual design skills to create elegant, intuitive user experiences across multiple interfaces that provide a seamless customer experience for Amazon's investigations systems. The ideal candidate will be a big thinker, have a passion for improving investigations to protect our customers, be familiar with agile development methodologies, and thrive on rapid design and development cycles.

• Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, and usability findings
• Use business requirements and market research to assist in developing use cases, high-level requirements
• Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of new web and on-device software applications
• Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors
• Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications
• Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and Amazon.com executives for review and feedback

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 6 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
  • A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions across multiple interfaces and screen sizes
  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
  • Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Axure or other prototyping tools


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
  • Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
  • Familiarity with the technical considerations needed when designing for the web and web based devices
  • Ability to prototype in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides
