We partner with multiple program and engineering teams across Amazon to build security best practices into enterprise-wide applications and systems. Our guidance and leadership equip our partners to maintain high security standards. This team dives deep into security technologies and continuously raises the security bar across Amazon by tackling complex engineering problems.

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will partner with a variety of job families and functions across Amazon. An individual in this role will support security initiatives to define and implement steps to achieve our long term security vision for customer trust, solving our most challenging problems with novel and scalable solutions. In this senior level role, you will work with cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical key stakeholders to define strategy and interpret, communicate, and drive full lifecycle security projects. You will partner with business, engineering and legal teams to evaluate and implement security controls in Amazon's internal services. The successful candidate is one who loves working directly with software engineers to understand their needs, and design security solutions that enable them to operate more effectively, securely and safely. You will work directly with service engineering teams, partner security teams, and business teams to identify opportunities to improve our security posture. You will build tooling, drive process improvements, and work with service owners to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

You and your team will work to conduct research, define a product roadmap, track performance metrics, and drive alignment across other Amazon business units. You will lead the vision of your product and manage its life cycle from the ideation phase all the way up to production. We would count on you to deliver solutions that meet all of our customers' wants and needs, those they tell us about, and those they haven't even thought of.

You are proactive in removing roadblocks, pave the way for innovation, and can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be a positive influencer across diverse teams, be able to effectively rally support for your initiatives, and be able to help technical teams create simple solutions to meet your program goals. You are able to handle business escalations with a data-driven approach to build trust with engineers and Senior Leaders.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Develop and execute projects to drive security initiatives across multiple business programs, such as access control, vulnerability management, and secure software development.
• Lead initiatives aimed at identifying and eliminating security risks in Amazon's internal services
• Lead ambiguous and undefined problems to resolution in constantly changing, multi team-based environment
• Communicate effectively across multiple levels of organization, building trust, and demonstrating discretion with sensitive information
• Show ownership and leadership skills in coordinating projects across multiple teams, driving them to successful conclusion while building strong, lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Delivering results in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while driving teams to complete goals
• Define user experiences and requirements by developing high quality PR/FAQ's
• Prioritize and manage the scope to deliver high quality products on time and on budget


• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Risk Management, Engineering, Math, Statistics or related discipline, or 7+ years' equivalent technology experience
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience with a proven track record of delivery following Project Management principles
• 3+ years of executive communication. Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business
• 3+ years working in a technical role with a solid grasp of system and security fundamentals
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing the deployment of information security solutions at scale
• Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions
• Solid foundation in software engineering principles
• Ability to effectively coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders
• Understanding of information security, privacy frameworks, and compliance requirements
• Understanding of security for diverse technology environments such as cloud computing
• Experience with Machine learning , threat analysis


• Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field preferred.
• Experience in information security, authentication, identity management strategies and execution.
• Track record of high-scale technology launches e.g., millions of customers, thousands of transactions per second, milliseconds of latency.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Bias for action and willingness to take risks.
• Exhibits excellent judgment.
• Experience with cross-organizational collaboration and negotiation
