We are looking to build an consumables engineering team in Seattle, that will be focused on setting up new food retail business venture and expand the the footprint of leading consumables programs like Prime NOW/ FRESH/Pantry in India
As a Technical Program manager within Amazon India Consumables tech team, you will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying solutions across all these consumable formats. You will work with senior engineering leaders across key consumable platforms and evolve the design/architecture of the India first products that will be owned by our team team. You will be responsible to set up and hold a high software quality bar besides providing technical direction to a highly technical team of Software Engineers.
- Work closely with product and category teams and help define the right customer experience for IN first consumables features.
- Work closely with senior engineers to design, implement and deploy applications that impact the Amazon.in business with an emphasis on e-Commerce website development and platform services..
- Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments
- Assist directly and indirectly in the continual hiring and development of technical talent.
- Create and execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience;
Technology background, especially in a service-oriented environment with a deep understanding of software development and e-commerce products.
Deep understanding of project and program management with 5+ yrs of experience in a fast paced environment taking a product through its complete life cycle using Agile
methodologies and delivering highly scalable and robust systems.
Proven track record of leading large cross-functional software projects.
Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and key partners for the program
Strong judgment, especially relevant in balancing long term strategic investments with near term business goals.
Able to provide architectural guidance and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, business owners, and senior business leaders.
Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions
Experience with e-commerce platforms, payments, or logistics considered a plus
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
