DESCRIPTION
You will be responsible for support functions in one of the most demanding departments within Amazon. You will be accountable for ensuring that the service is available within SLAs on time for Amazon's core business functions, by partnering with development teams building reliability into code, make process investments helping Amazon scale its operations for current and next-generation systems. Other responsibilities include continuously raising the bar on operational excellence, waste elimination and continuous improvement.
You should be able to take classic "operations" problems and solve them with engineering and software - not just humans and dashboards - yielding very high uptime for our systems with efficient groups of support engineers. You will clearly articulate, through data, productivity gains achieved. An ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience managing multiple customer-facing teams, will be capable of technical deep-dives yet verbally and cognitively agile enough to participate in strategy discussions with Amazon's senior management team.

As a Support Engineer working on the analytics platform, you will be implementing and supporting the analytic technologies that give our customers timely, flexible and structured access to their data. You will be challenged with a variety of task like SQL Code, data pipeline design and implementation. You will interact with customers to gather requirements and structure solutions.Interface with business customers, gathering requirements and gaining a deep-dive understanding of services and key datasets.Tuning application and query performance against large, complex data structures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates should have a Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field. The candidate should have at least 8 years of management experience in a production environment, strong technical and analytical aptitude and excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong understanding of scaling, performance and scheduling
