In this role you will be responsible for scoping and delivering medium to large projects end-to-end. Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch. You will work with the business, product, marketing, design, and technical teams to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market and imize value for our customers.

To be effective, you need to thrive and succeed in a fast moving environment and be able to deal with ambiguity and competing priorities. The right candidate will possess a strong program management background and will have a well-rounded technical background in software development. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected.

Key responsibilities:
• Work closely with design, product, and engineering teams in an agile environment to deliver products to market quickly.
• Work across a diverse set of stakeholder organizations to prioritize and manage the lifecycle of complex cross-functional technology initiatives. Work is tactical and strategic.
• Negotiate resources and priorities. Make trade-offs between short-term needs vs. long-term needs.
• Understand risks caused by technical complexity. Able to drive simplification and efficiency in existing engineering and architectures to unblock innovation and speed of delivery.
• Own program backlogs and participate in regular agile planning and grooming sessions.
• Drive architecture, engineering and integration decisions and timelines with internal and dependency teams
• Report on team status across stakeholder communication channels
• Measure and improve operational excellence.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams
• Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules
• Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
• Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
• Experience developing and launching products that require collaboration between cross-functional tech teams.
• Experienced in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
