Sr. Technical Program Manager (Bi/de Exp. Preferred)

We're seeking a Technical Program Manager within Transportation Controllership to support our continued build-out of Transportation systems and a single source of global transportation cost. In this role you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities include:

• Collection of business and systems requirements from a range of stakeholders (Transportation Controllership, Accounting and BU Finance)
• Writing specifications
• Driving project schedules from to release
• Managing the production launch.
• You will lead and coordinate /implementation efforts between Transportation Business Unit tech teams and TFS.
• You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-release, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.

Job Duties:

• Development of a single source of truth for global transportation cost Identification and Classification of Manifest Error
• Forecasting of liability
• Applying predictive models to large volumes of manifest data to identify overbilling problem
• Predicting future payment of open disputes
• Developing feedback loops to upstream tech teams on manifest failures
• In an agile environment, drive the entire program life-cycle: requirements definition through specification, , coding, quality assurance, implementation, integration, launch, and production support with user experience in mind.
• Synthesize requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet delivery timelines. This will include writing detailed functional and test specification, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features.
• Effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to non-technical audiences.
• Automate processes for in-depth analysis databases.
• Learn, publish, analyze and improve management information dashboards, operational business metrics decks and key performance indicators.
• Provide in-depth analysis to management with the support of accounting, finance and transportation teams.
• Mentor junior employees and build effective teams.


• 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
• 5+ years of technical program management experience
• 4+ years of experience in writing complex algorithms programming languages like Java, C# or Python
• Experience in designing full-stack enterprise products using MVC frameworks like Spring Boot, Django etc.
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Understanding of financial concepts


• MBA or equivalent degree from premier business schools
• Experience in designing Transportation Management Systems or Freight Auditing Products is desired
• Previous experience in designing ML workflows using various regression, classification or clustering algorithms
• Experience in developing data reporting/visualization platforms using Tableau, QuickSight etc.
• Experience in driving business/functional goals to technical specifications and guiding the engineering team to implementation.
• Experience in developing scalable data models for SQL/No-SQL databases like MySQL, Amazon Redshift, MongoDB, Cassandra etc.
• Proficient with data analysis and modelling software such as Spark, R etc.
• Proficient with using scripting language such as Python and data manipulation/analysis libraries such as Scikit-learn and Pandas for analyzing and modeling data.
