Sr Technical Program Manager

DESCRIPTION
AWS is seeking an innovative, Technical Program Manager to build an exciting new platform for the AWS Sales group. The Technical Program Manager for this role will be responsible for managing the release activities of designing, building, evolving the technology platform and will own products and frameworks for the entire organization.
This role offers a challenging and highly visible position responsible for managing multiple projects and driving results across teams. You will be responsible for identifying stakeholders, working with leadership to develop a vision, executing projects, and delivering on our goals. TPMs handle complex inter-team dependencies and bridge the gaps in technical management.
You will need to work with professionals in many different domains, including sales, product management, engineering, engineering management, and support. You will need strong customer relationship skills, including discovering the right requirements underlying feature requests from customers & stakeholders.
Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, be detail-oriented, have excellent problem solving and communication abilities, and possess a deep understanding of product design and implementation details. The candidate's technical expertise and operational excellence will raise the bar, influence the team's decisions, and drive secure and robust solutions with excellent customer experience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in a technically relevant field
• 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience with Internet business experience
• Demonstrated writing skills at a level suitable for presentation to senior executives
• Experience in Agile Software Development methodology and Software Project Management.
• Technical competence with distributed systems, networking, storage, and security.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years of combined experience in Software Engineering, Technical Program Management
• 2+ years of experience in leading and growing team
• Proven track record of taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
• Demonstrated writing skills at a level suitable for presentation to senior executives
• MBA in either Business Consulting or Information Systems
• AWS Experience and Certifications
• Experience working with developers and security engineers to come to the best solution to problems where confidentiality, integrity and availability are difficult to achieve together
• Provable and documented track record of taking ownership and driving actual business results
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple sub-projects simultaneously in order pull together a single vision
• AWS Certified
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
