We have also produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, and more recently Amazon Echo and Alexa, the voice service that powers Echo and other devices so customers can play music, control their smart homes, and get information, news, weather, and more, using just their voice.
The Device Supply Chain Technology Team is responsible for automating and optimizing the supply chain that creates Amazon's devices and then delivers them to market. Our systems ensure that we make our customers happy while meeting Amazon's business goals.

We are looking for a proven Sr. Technical Program Manager who can help lead our reverse supply chain operations to the next level: influencing the roadmap, collaborating with stakeholders, defining a plan that allows teams to innovate quickly, and integrating these efforts into a coherent product. Our ideal candidate has great insight into our customers, the vision and creativity to find innovative ways to act on these insights, the technical chops to translate those ideas into innovative design, and interpersonal and program management skills to harness the passion and energy of teams across the company to drive the designs into the world as products that will delight our customers.

In this role, you will work closely with senior leaders, stakeholders, software engineers, scientists and product teams across Amazon to drive large cross-org innovations and project delivery activities.

The Role:
As a Technical Program Manager, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative products. In this role, you will:
  • Define, design, and deliver software applications.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop product requirements and overall product roadmap.
  • Drive the implementation and delivery of products.
  • Collaborate with multiple agile engineering and design teams to coordinate, prioritize and deliver to an aggressive roadmap.
  • Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams.
  • Support and enhance existing products with thoughtful and measurable impact.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
  • A deep understanding of software development and a track record of shipping software on time.
  • Ability to dive deep on technical matters.
