Sr. Tax Analyst - Worldwide Tax Reporting

Want to be a part of Amazon's fast paced and dynamic tax department and make an impact?! Amazon is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its global income tax reporting team. This position will be responsible for supporting the team's global financial statement audit process including involvement with our US GAAP SOX 404 and Internal Control processes.. This role will contribute directly to the ability of the global reporting team to scale with the business and continue to meet its reporting obligations. Responsibilities include:

• Monitor and ensure compliance of all core tax provision deliverables including both substantive, SOX 404 and global internal control deliverables
• Visibility into Amazon's global businesses, significant transactions, and tax processes
• Design and manage various process improvement projects
• Gather requirements from worldwide stakeholders to develop best practices for the group
• Learn and understand pain points in order to recommend solutions
• Manage and improve current processes
• Create and deliver trainings to user groups
• Maintain and update user guidelines, operating procedures, supporting documentation
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure upstream and downstream consistency
• Opportunity for broader income tax provision reporting experience


• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
• Minimum 5 years' experience working in tax or financial statement auditing


• Familiarity with SOX 404 and Internal Controls
• MS in Taxation preferred
• Must be technically proficient and have strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
• Certification as CA/CPA preferred
• Tax provision/ASC 740 experience and understanding of accounting pronouncements
• Strong project management and organization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Strong computer skills including MS Office suite and Visio
