Amazon Music is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the Amazon Music Gateway team. Here you'll partner closely with the Alexa organization and key partners within Amazon Music to optimize the voice forward experience for music customers while Alexa and Amazon Music grow in ubiquity across new smart devices.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Amazon Music your team will sit at the intersection of Amazon Music and the Alexa organization. You will be responsible for leading the effort to improve the Amazon Music experience on Alexa supported devices by building and integrating new voice forward Alexa skills. This position offers multi-organization visibility and solution scalability to other Alexa supported businesses at Amazon. You will serve as the technical lead for the team tasked to build scalable, low-latency, and resilient software utilizing best in class AWS technologies in order to support the customer listening experience.

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proven ability to design and implement complex software systems
• A track record of building complex, reliable, and scalable software in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Machine Learning and Natural Language Understanding.
• Experience with iterative, agile development methodologies (including scrum)
• Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
• Knowledge of best practices for software development.
• Passion for music.
