Scope of Impact & Influence
This role is for a full-stack developer with an emphasis on data aggregation and designing highly scalable applications. You will work with the product design team to define the overall technical vision of the product and lead a team of software development engineers. You will have a broad range of responsibilities from architecture, design, development, testing, deployment and operations. You will lead the technical direction for our team and be a trusted source of expertise for our wider organization. You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams and applied scientists to ensure our product(s) work seamlessly with other products in the org. You will have the opportunity to learn machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience creating scalable cloud applications for multi-tenant use, Software-as-a-Services using cloud technologies from AWS.
• 7+ years of non-internship profession software development experience using object oriented design with at least one modern language such as Java, C#, Go, Python or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• 3+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience mentoring/training the engineering community on complex technical issues
• Experience using predictive algorithms in applications. Data aggregation, ETL/ELT.
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role.
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.
