If so, we are looking for a senior engineering leader in the Amazon Employee Services Technology (ESTech) Team.

You will own the full stack design and development of a product suite globally, building scale, efficiency, and a world class customer experiences. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to provide solutions that are highly usable, scalable, and extensible. You will mentor and grow engineers into top talent team and set high bar standards across the development team for efficiency, quality and repeatable delivery. You will lead by example giving team members a standard to aspire to, you will create velocity through reusable processes and designs, and optimize for speed while ensuring quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about setting the standard for engineering excellence, building software solutions, have strong software development, systems and process design skills. The candidate should excel in both strategic thinking and tactical execution, as responsibilities range from creating technical plans to driving software development. You will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to work cross-functionally. A keen sense of ownership is a must. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with fast delivery time, rapid iteration, and data-driven decision-making. Ambiguity and creativity are both expected and the norm.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Full stack software engineering of new and existing products end to end including design, development, testing, deployment, and operations
• Working backwards with business to define and drive creative product features and capabilities that enhance and delight customers.
• Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules
• Lead and partner with multiple development teams for successful execution of the software solutions.
• Translate key insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for product improvements
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• 3+ years' experience building cloud services on AWS
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs and product strategy
• Depth in data structures and algorithms, especially those dealing with concurrency or scaling.
• Hands-on experience with a multiple programming languages such as Javascript, Java, C#, and Python
• A Software Engineer or Software Developer with an appetite for learning and raising the bar
• Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• 2+ years' experience working in teams following Agile methodology

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications:
• Masters in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
• 1+ years' experience working with Salesforce Applications
• Experience building large-scale software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
• Hands-on expertise across disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end software systems and all points in between.
• Experience communicating with users, software development engineering teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features and technical designs.
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role
