Sr. Software Dev Engineer

You will be the lead engineer that is responsible for the development and launch of a new matching and workflow orchestration system to support Amazon's Healthcare finance operations. You will have significant influence on the overall strategy, system design, and spearhead the engineering for a brand new system and set of services.

• 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar major
• 5+ years of experience in a software or applications engineering role
• 10+ years experience of direct people leadership


• 5+ years in the Healthcare industry, or building HIPAA compliant services
• Experience developing internet products and technologies
• Familiarity with agile and kanban methodologies
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
