DESCRIPTION

Join Amazon Project Kuiper. Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

You will architect the software infrastructure for RF test automation and ATE in the payload Antennas and Customer Terminal labs. You will develop the test framework for the internal team to create, track, update, change, and execute tests. This framework enables repeatable, discoverable tests, collects critical measurements, and simplifies test verification. You will work closely with Antenna&RF Engineers, System Developers, Software Developers, Digital and FPGA/DSP designers to help support them in the automation of existing testing. You will be the lab software liaison interfacing with external teams on integrating automated testing into acceptance procedures, qualification test procedures, payload integration test.

Key job responsibilities
• Determine automation requirements across the internal and external teams
• Develop test framework for loading software builds and configuration, managing test cases, storing test configurations, executing test runs, and logging metrics
• Perform board and system bringup in anechoic test chambers, load calibration files and initiate RF signal reception/transmission
• Perform Lab measurement and validation of performance of antennas, and phased array systems and subsystems using near field antenna test systems
• Develop automation services to optimize measurements, data management and analysis for antenna and customer terminal verification
• Train internal and external teams on test automation

Export Control Requirement
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in development of hardware automation and test systems
  • 7+ years of experience with C/C++, Python or other scripting languages
  • Experience with Hardware/Software system bring up and debugging


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MS computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering, physics or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Database systems
  • Experience in development of automation hardware test solutions
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive
  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
