Sr. Program Manager - Logistics

We manage the selection, design, and launch of stations that deliver tens of millions of products every week to Amazon's customers, achieving on-time delivery in a cost-effective manner to deliver a smile for our customers.

Amazon Logistics is looking for a customer focused, talented, and technically skilled Sr. Program Manager with a strong record of delivery results, ownership, and having the maturity to lead and influence teams. This individual has responsibility to drive standardization, new process implementation, process improvements, and metrics reporting supporting Amazon Logistics delivery stations. This position will be responsible for building out long term processes and tools to support our growing Amazon Logistics business in North America.

The successful candidate will be able to effectively influence and collaboratively work with functional groups and senior leaders across organizations. This individual will integrate, visualize and present critical data to improve the efficiency of the processes required to launch a delivery station, and enable efficient management and improvement of these processes. This individual will work with technical and business teams to optimize planning, execution, process improvement and track progress against goals. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities as well as outstanding business acumen and comfort with technical teams and systems. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and enjoy working with large scale of data.

Core Job Responsibilities include:
• Responsible for overall Program Management supporting launches of Delivery Stations for North America
• Collaborate with a high performing team of Program Managers driving standardization, automation, process improvements
• Improve and implement mechanisms across functional groups enabling program level progress at scale
• Lead weekly business reviews for program progress, risks, and opportunities against overall business goals
• Implement long term processes to enable critical milestone completions, mitigation steps to bring programs back on schedule, and escalating risks to leadership for direction and support
• Facilitate cross-functional reviews to collaborate on solutions for recurring and critical program defects
• Serve as a point of escalation to help resolve timing and quality of inputs and outputs across teams, and to help facilitate leadership level decisions
• Prioritize critical programs, critical path tasks, and drives the cross functional teams to stay on schedule
• Understanding priorities and need for expediting where applicable and drive actions and follow ups to close out program level tasks
• Collaborates with senior leadership within Topology, Transaction, Pre-Construction, Design, Capital Planning, and Launch Planning teams on various program improvements
• Drives compliance of mechanisms in place to continually drive timely quality outputs and facilitates constant feedback loop to improve the mechanisms
• Improve Service Level Agreements (SLA) across all functional groups within critical path for all programs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or other technical field from an accredited university
• 5+ years of relevant work experience working with teams driving standardization, project management, program management, project execution, automation
• Recent experience in implementing and launching of large fulfillment, delivery, sortation centers
• Recent experience collaborating with design engineering, construction, real estate managers, planning and execution project managers
• Recent experience working with project management tools

• Organizational skill and an operations mindset
• An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment
• Ability to understand operations at a detailed, practical level and to think big
• A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Masters or MBA degree is preferred
• Project Management experience and/or Tech product management experience
• Proven track record of delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
• 6+ years of relevant work experience building end to end solutions to performance measurement and process improvement in a transportation, logistics or supply chain setting.
• Demonstrated excellence in working with operations teams.
