At Amazon's current scale, small improvements in financial business process efficiency can yield significant reductions in cost and risk and can also catalyze innovation. The Worldwide Consumer senior executive team has chartered a program to identify and seize the most impactful opportunities to improve financial business process efficiency across the Worldwide Consumer business. If you are a Senior Program Manager motivated by the challenges of refining unbounded scope, clarifying business problem and technical solution ambiguity, leading large-scale cross-functional collaborations, and communicating frequently with senior executive sponsors, then we would like to talk to you.

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to lead delivery of the software system architecture improvements which will increase finance business process automation across all facets of Amazon's Worldwide Consumer business - Ordering, Payments, Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Transportation, Selling Partner Services, and more). As the PM, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders across Business, Engineering, and Finance to identify opportunities, quantify impact, prioritize, and deliver results. You will own program update content reported quarterly to the CEO of Worldwide Consumer and his leadership team.

Success in this role demands that you be self-motivated to thrive amidst high ambiguity and multiple competing priorities. While developing and driving a portfolio of high-level strategic initiatives, you will roll up your sleeves to manage some of the projects in your portfolio. You will take large, complex initiatives and break them down into manageable projects, clarify business, functional, and technical needs, and then deliver measurable results in a timely manner which meets the expectations you have set with your stakeholders.


• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
• 5+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects
• 5+ years of experience in program or project management
• 5+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams


• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills used to communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels within the organization.
• Broad and deep technical aptitude which includes experience with distributed systems and engineering best practices
• Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and to initiate and lead effective collaborations
• A background in software architecture and technical management
• Experience with tools and techniques of business process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, etc)
• Experience delivering quantifiable improvements in finance process efficiency
