Sr. Product Manager (Technical), Home Innovation

The Home Innovation Team (HIT) at Amazon is on a mission to redefine how customers purchase home and furniture products on Amazon. We are looking for a strong product manager for Discover, our ML powered alternative to traditional product discovery paradigms such as search and browse. Discover enables customers to instantly find more products similar to the ones they like without using text. The product is part of our broader ML CX portfolio.

About the team: In this role you will work with experienced engineers, product managers, designers and research scientists who are on the front-line of technical innovation at Amazon. From Machine Learning, to big data and augmented reality, we leverage cutting edge technology to power our products. As with every team in Amazon, we work backwards from our customer's needs and solve acute shopping pain points by launching intuitive customer experiences. We are a tightly-knit group that share our experiences and help each other succeed. We love hard problems and like to move fast in a growing and changing environment. We use data to guide our decisions and we don't hesitate in pushing the boundaries of what is technically feasible when innovating for our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
• Experience with end to end product delivery
• Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Additional Qualifications:
• 8+ years' total work experience with 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology.
• Proven track record shipping products on both desktop and mobile.
• Experience relying on analytics and data to cultivate deep customer empathy, shape product decisions and track effectiveness of changes
• Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define a winning business strategy and product roadmap and gain buy-in from stakeholders at all levels
• Experience working with a cross-functional team spanning design, research, marketing, and engineering to meet high-reaching goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with Machine Learning and experience working with Applied Sciences
• Experience running A/B tests and using experimental data to inform decision making
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; experience using data and metrics to test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success
• Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently with an exceptional attention to detail
• MBA preferred
