Sr. Product Manager - Tech
- Seattle, WA
AWS Marketplace is changing the way AWS customers discover, deploy, and pay for software. Our goal is to make AWS Marketplace the easiest place for our buyers and sellers to transact and deploy software. Any AWS customer can easily find software on the AWS Marketplace website, deploy it immediately, and be metered for usage that appears directly on their AWS bill. Buyers can quickly buy the software they need and sellers are able to reach millions of customers of AWS.
The AWS Marketplace team is looking for a technical product manager to own the roadmap for driving the experience of customers deploying software products into their AWS compute environments. This role is critical for our ongoing business growth. You will define the customer experience for discovering, purchasing, and deploying products packaged as AMIs and Containers on AWS compute environments including Amazon EC2 and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service. You will drive the roadmap for increasing customer adoption and engagement through features that increase product selection, simplify deployment and upgrades, and enable new pricing models that provide more value for customers. You will work across AWS to collaborate with service teams to build engaging end to end customer experiences.
This is a high visibility role requiring you to work closely with both buyers and sellers. You will be their voice in front of AWS senior leadership teams. You will have to identify requirements, define product features, and working closely with development teams to get those features in the hands of our customers. You will also work closely with business development and marketing teams to drive traffic and adoption. Successful applicants will have experience defining products, leading cross-functional teams, and communicating to a large number of stakeholders. You will also need to learn about capabilities from internal teams and be able to communicate effectively to all levels of the company, both in writing and in meetings.
On this team, you'll get to wear many hats, work fast and smart, and iterate quickly. We are looking for someone who is ready to take ownership of a growing business opportunity and join a tightly-knit team tackling a very interesting and challenging opportunity.
This is a great opportunity for a product manager to drive a backlog of features, influence marketing and process improvements, and own growth of key metrics, including customer growth, trial, and conversion.
Mentorship and Career Growth
Our team is dedicated to supporting new team members. Our team has a broad mix of experience levels and Amazon tenures, and we're building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our team members truly enjoy mentoring and on-boarding new PMT members through one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, doc reviews.
Our team is focused on balancing life with work, and does this via work autonomy and by prioritizing solutions and processes that enable us to scale faster than the business. Most days, our entire team is co-located in our Seattle, Austin and Vancouver offices, but we're flexible when people need to work from home.
