DESCRIPTION

Books/Kindle is an iconic product and a thriving business adored by customers around the world but it's still "day one" in inspiring the world to read more and get more out of reading every day, across all their devices. We are looking for a high performing Product Manager to be part of a team of Product Managers, Engineers, Designers and Program Managers responsible for building self-service features enabling physical books and digital books (Kindle) publishers to grow their business on Amazon.

This is the role for someone who wants to make the complex simpler. You will work closely with cross-functional partners in engineering, design, and product management teams within Kindle to make a Publisher's ingestion experience with Amazon more effective. You are highly analytical, organized, able to work independently, able to work effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at designing and implementing new processes that scale across our global partners.

Key Responsibilities
1) Define and launch our long-term ingestion experiences for Enterprise publishers,
2) Work with designers and engineers to build features and functions within the Kindle Enterprise publisher portals to ensure an effective publisher experience.
3) Drive business reviews with WW business and Tech leaders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
• Experience with end to end product delivery
• Proven experience driving long term value in program and/or product management, account relationship management, negotiation, business development, and/or client support
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of internal groups
• Exceptional organizational and people skills, as well as outstanding strategic and analytical skills, including experience working with data warehousing/SQL.
• Proven ability to identify and implement innovative new business ideas and opportunities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment and ability to deal with ambiguous environments
• Ability to communicate effectively internally to stakeholders and externally to clients, acting as an influencer and ambassador on behalf of the business and its customers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MBA or MS in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Professional experience with analytical tools and systems such as Excel and SQL
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning, task delegation and coordination with engineering teams
• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including strong writing and speaking skills.
• Enthusiasm for the world of books
