Sr. Product Manager

The Kindle Content and Physical Books team is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Senior Product Manager to join the team focused on this dynamic and exciting industry. The individual in this role will work with central teams at Amazon to improve the Books customer experience, by inventing, designing, and deploying new features for identifying and preventing abuse globally across both, physical and digital formats.

Primary responsibilities of this role include:
• Product requirements and roadmap: Defining requirements for Books category for brand protection products and services, and working with central product teams to ensure that those requirements are scoped and prioritized.
• Mechanisms: Building detection and prevention mechanisms based on data and emerging issues.
• Global expansion: Expanding mechanisms and processes for Books across all Amazon stores.

This is a high-impact global role and the successful candidate in this role will:
• Think strategically and work cross-functionally with other Amazon team members including vendor managers, product managers, and engineers to deliver on goals.
• Investigate problems at hand, dive deep the root cause, and find systematic gaps while supporting conclusions with data
• Have excellent project management skills of breaking down tasks, prioritizing them, establishing owners and timelines, and reporting status
• Bring innovative ideas to the table every day, in order to find better ways of accomplishing our customer objectives.
• Excel at taking decisions in highly ambiguous and complex business environment.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the Books business, its seasonality and business trends/events.
• Have good written and verbal communication skills.


• Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
• Experience with end to end product delivery


• MBA or MS in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Professional experience with analytical tools and systems such as Excel and SQL
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning, task delegation and coordination with engineering teams
• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including strong writing and speaking skills.
• Enthusiasm for the world of books
