Sr. Product Manager


Amazon is a force in the world of video game and software digital distribution. Now, we're looking for a new product manager to help us envision our next wave of services and functionality. Are you that Product Manger?

The Digital Software and Video Games team is a part of the media group in Amazon retail. Our mission is to build services that connect the producers of digital content with the audience of people who want to consume that content, and to do it seamlessly and easily.

You will be required to manage multiple tasks of varying priorities while being very focused on hitting delivery milestones and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. You will be called on to analyze industry trends; guide development; and to use your knowledge of the industry to protect customer interests. You will ensure that the products we build meet the needs of our customers, continue to empower a growing business, and add value to the game and software industries.

Our Product Managers work with business teams, operational teams, and technical teams to create new platform level services that will be used by game publishers around the world.

Specific responsibilities include the following:

  • Evaluate business opportunities for new technology products in the video game and software sector
  • Develop business proposals
  • Create product definitions and requirements for use by engineering teams
  • Participate in sprint planning
  • Lead product launches
  • Analyze use of current products
  • Develop practices to optimize the shopping, checkout, and download experiences for digital products

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Professional experience in product management with approximately 3+ years' experience
  • Experience delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer-facing retail experience, especially eCommerce
  • Degree in technology or technology management related field; or MBA
  • Experience delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment
