Job Description:

The Amazon Finance Technology team is seeking an innovative, results-oriented, customer-centric team player to help build the processes we will use to manage our team and its deliverables. The Business Operations Senior Manager will innovate around ensuring we have the right mechanisms to effectively review our teams deliverables, manage our costs and headcount and innovate internal processes to ensure we have clear deliverables to our customers.

Some of the key job functions are:

  • Effectively set and execute strategy for engaging with partners and solution providers, including prioritizing potential vendors in a category, contacting vendors and establishing a relationship, and managing ongoing relationships.
  • Help define and update the goals and success metrics for the Finance Technology Team
  • Participate actively as part of the Finance Technology leadership team to define mechanisms to implement strategies and reduce process waste
  • Define a team process review cadence and content that supports clarity on deliverables being worked on, when milestones will be reached, progress to our plan
  • Create process for tracking headcount and related costs
  • Partner effectively with FP&A teams
  • Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of post degree business development experience in the Internet, media and high-tech industries Bachelor's degree is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong background in business operations
  • Ability to think strategically, innovatively and creatively using sound business judgment and quantitative skills.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences
  • Experience working within the consumer electronics and/or wireless industry is highly desired
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
