Sr Manager, Acquisition Marketing, Alexa Skills

The Alexa skills marketing team is looking for an experienced marketing manager to help increase awareness of and engagement with published Alexa skills through innovative customer acquisition and lifecycle marketing programs.

The customer acquisition marketing manager for Alexa skills will be responsible for leading the team that will define, build, and execute acquisition and lifecycle strategy and campaigns with customers at key moments in the device lifecycle. This role will play a pivotal part in the personalization and customization of the Alexa experience for customers through skill engagement. Marketing plans will be created based on insights and analysis of the customer base, audience profile, and the need to surprise and delight customers with skills that increase customer usage. A crucial component of the role will be managing and optimizing campaigns based on results to increase effectiveness and performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead a team of senior marketing managers focused on the acquisition of engaged customers throughout the device lifecycle
  • Define the strategy and prioritization of resources for acquisition marketing
  • Write the customer acquisition plan for the team and optimize the plan based on learnings to date
  • Develop and test emerging, creative or other new acquisition channels to reach customers with messaging tailored to the channel
  • Own the customer acquisition campaigns and channels
  • Manage social media strategy and presence for Alexa skills
  • Own marketing relationships with key partners and stakeholders
  • Deliver skill engagement through customer acquisition campaigns
  • Analyze results, identify trends, and make changes to strategy and execution plans for improved campaign performance and ROI
  • Manage budget, forecasting, and reporting on a monthly basis

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in consumer marketing - preferably with experience in technology marketing
  • Proven track record of delivering acquisition marketing campaigns
  • Experience with attribution models

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrable, successful history of defining marketing strategy and executional excellence
  • Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
  • Ambitious self-starter with excellent follow-through skills
