Sr. Financial Analyst, Marketing Programs and FP&A

Description

Amazon Consumer Marketing drives customers to our websites and mobile apps, and keeps customers engaged and delighted through a variety of innovative and advanced digital marketing channels and features.

Specifically, you will support a variety of new and innovative marketing programs across the Consumer Marketing organization and FP&A.

As to marketing program, Speed matters, but especially when creating new programs from the ground up. You work well with ambiguity, get excited about iterating on a new model with business leaders, and believe feedback is a gift.

As to FP&A, you will be able to learn Amazon's entire marketing strategy as this position is responsible or WW marketing spend management, planning process, reporting and analysis.

The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance and decision support in partnership with the product managers on a range of new programs being created for our customers. And this role requires strong analytical acumen, cognitive flexibility, business modeling skills and communication skills. At the same time, establishing scalable and automated process and working closely with key stakeholders are important for FP&A role.

Responsibilities include:

Create pro-forma business and financial analysis to answer the 'so what' about nascent businesses that are still in the idea phase

Understand the inherent limitations of data and exercise judgment to make trade-offs between timeliness and accuracy of analysis and how to best synthesize findings

Work side-by-side with product managers to influence new program requirements and business decisions

Enable scrappy performance reports to understand success of various minimum lovable products, honing in on the quick changes that need to be made to prove (or disprove) the business model

Deliver meaningful insight and practical recommendations, in addition to sound financial data analysis, to inform and influence business decisions.

Establishing Process of key planning process.

Delivering key marketing financial reporting to senior management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in Finance, Accounting, or Consulting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven analytical and financial modeling skills using Excel, including advanced formula writing using functions, and data analytic skills.
  • Experience with COGNOS, SAP, Essbase, Oracle
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Masters in Accounting) strongly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of SQL is preferred
