Software Development Manager - AWS Organizations

DESCRIPTION
The AWS Organizations Multi-Account Platform Team is growing and we are looking to hire Software Development Manager to own and drive the platform that is used across AWS services to implement and solve multi-account needs for their customers. In this role, you will lead and expand a team of high functioning engineers while working closely with our Product team and internal AWS service teams to identify products, features, and solutions for multi-account management. The problem space is highly ambiguos as the multi-account management space is largely undefined for the cloud. This is a great opportunity to exercise your creative problem solving skills, define cutting edge ideas, and lead a team to build and launch these new features. The work you do on this team will easily have a lasting impact on cloud offerings and help shape what multi-account management means in AWS.
AWS has the most services and more features within those services, than any other cloud provider-from infrastructure technologies like compute, storage, and databases-to emerging technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, data lakes and analytics, and Internet of Things. Whether its Identity features such as access management and sign on, cryptography, console, builder & developer tools, and even projects like automating all of our contractual billing systems, AWS Platform is always innovating with the customer in mind. The AWS Platform team sustains over 750 million transactions per second.
A track record of delivering projects is a must, but so is being collaborative. We work heavily with teams across AWS so being an advocate for their needs and their customers' needs while managing your team's vision, growth, and roadmap is critical. This role requires deep technical knowledge and skill as you will be responsible for growing the next set of engineering leaders in the space while guidiung the development process, managing projects to ensure proper solutions are delivered, and attention to detail in delivering features that excite customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent
• Programming experience in C, C++, C# and/or Java in Linux and/or Windows environment.
• 8+ years of industry software development experience including 4+ years of management experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
