Software Development Manager - AWS Identity Store
- Hyderabad, India
DESCRIPTION
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead.
The days of corporate firewalls being the most prominent component of a strong information security defense are long gone. Industry trends including mobile, IoT, SaaS applications, and cloud computing are driving the need for new zero trust architectures that put digital identity as the cornerstone of modern digital security. And new privacy regulations such as GDPR are forcing customers to rethink their legacy identity and access management systems and look for more modern cloud-based solutions. AWS Identity provides services that enable customers to control who can access what in the cloud. Our services enable identity, resource, and access management as well as governance across all of our customers' AWS accounts. We support ALL AWS services in ALL AWS regions around the world, and 100% of AWS customers use our services. We take our responsibility for securely enforcing access control for AWS customers as our absolute top priority.
AWS has the most services and more features within those services, than any other cloud provider-from infrastructure technologies like compute, storage, and databases-to emerging technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, data lakes and analytics, and Internet of Things. Whether its Identity features such as access management and sign on, cryptography, console, builder & developer tools, and even projects like automating all of our contractual billing systems, AWS Platform is always innovating with the customer in mind. The AWS Platform team sustains over 750 million transactions per second.
We are looking for an enterprising software development manager (SDM) to help incubate a new engineering team to design, build and launch a large-scale events, subscription and notification management system in the cloud identity space.
This is an opportunity to operate and engineer systems on a massive scale, and to gain top-notch experience in cloud computing. At Amazon, SDMs own the structure and strategy of their product. You'll own the goals, end-to-end development, and support of your team's roadmap. You'll work with stakeholders across AWS to collaborate and launch new services. You will own ensuring your service can scale to support your customers; integrating with multiple AWS services across all AWS regions. You will partner with engineering managers and senior engineers to coach your team through scalable and highly-available technology choices. If this excites you, come join us in Seattle, USA and help AWS continue to write the cloud computing story for the industry.
We have a formal mentor search application that lets you find a mentor that works best for you based on location, job family, job level etc. Your manager can also help you find a mentor or two, because two is better than one. In addition to formal mentors, we work and train together so that we are always learning from one another, and we celebrate and support the career progression of our team members.
Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. We are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We have ten employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally. We have innovative benefit offerings, and we host annual and ongoing learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences. Amazon's culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 14 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.
Our team also puts a high value on work-life balance. Striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success here, which is why we aren't focused on how many hours you spend at work or online.
