Software Development Manager

Annapurna Labs builds high-performance hardware and software solutions used in AWS data centers globally. We're looking for software development with a focus on runtime development of Neuron SDK. As a of Software Development, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in design, development, test, and deployment of this new area, including drivers, tools and testing. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, a strong technical ability, excellent project skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. You will be helping to hire and build your team and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the over-all systems development life cycle
• Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment
• Management of departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, enhancement, and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team
• Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management


• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
• 5+ years experience in software development
• 3+ years experience managing software development teams
• 3+ years of hands on experience in architecting and building highly scalable distributed systems
• Experience in Linux kernel and user-space drivers for PCIe and external devices, virtualization, high performance I/O through Linux services


• M.S. or Ph.D. in software engineering or related fields
• Strong skills presenting technical information verbally and in written reports.
• Experience forming teams and recruiting software engineers and developing their careers
• Experience with PCIe and memory-mapped I/O
• Experience with Virtualization, Hypervisors, and SR-IOVxperience with network stack and network designs
• Experience with cluster communication systems: MPI, OFED, Libfabric, and RDMA
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
